Monthly Whale Bulletin
On board the whale watching vessels at Yankee Watch, CORE scientists will create a monthly report called the Whale Bulletin. The Bulletin will include current important issues that affect the whales in our area, new findings, interesting stories and upcoming events.

Exciting Additions to Yankee Whale Watching
In conjunction with the Center for Oceanic Research and Education, we have many exciting new features designed to make your Yankee Whale Watching the most innovative and exciting journey at sea!
Education Mates are trained CORE staff members and are aboard the every whale watch trip at the Yankee Fleet. You can learn about the whales and dolphins of our area, see updated weekly trip reports, or even ask us a question with our "Ask the Whale Head" e-mail forum.

The Junior Intern Program is a CORE program that provides opportunities for high school students to experience research and education projects aboard the boat. This is a five-week program. Our Commitment to Conservation, Research & Education
CORE performs field research on whales aboard each whale watching trip with Yankee Whale Watching. CORE Director, Lisa Fox has been a Yankee Whale Watching Staff Scientist and has conducted research on cetaceans (whales, dolphins & porpoises) since 1988. With a combined experience of 27 years, CORE's research staff is among the most experienced in the cetacean field. CORE's staff members have contributed to a wide scope of whale research conferences, symposia and literature about whales.

Yankee Whale Watching and Deep Sea Fishing is proud of Jerry Hill, our founder and president, a leader on the advisory council for the Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary - at that time, the only representative from any whale watching organization. Our sister operation in Key West Florida has also been singled out as a leader, as a member on the National Environmental Performance Track of the EPA. This hand in hand commitment to conservation and research assures the future for these magnificent whales.

CORE's Mission is to promote stewardship and conservation of cetaceans and their marine environment. CORE's director, Lisa Fox has been working with the Yankee Whale Watchsince 1988. During that time CORE was created and has evolved in many different directions. This year is certainly no exception! Thanks to our new Education Coordinator, Deanna Leonard, CORE has a wide variety of new and exciting programs for young and old alike.
